Description

So, this is my assassin Elf! :D I kind of redid his design a little. I was really bored and practicing hands- which I know are too big- and I just drew him. I need to redo this comic I was workingon with them. I did a few pages and then stopped.... I may just write it all out. = A=

Anyway! If you don't know him, here's the backstory for him and his lover.

----------------------------------

The Assassin

Name: Aearcon Talesan (EY-AR-SON)

Age: Human years, he looks- Twenty-two, but, in elven years, he's over three thousand years old.

Height: 5' 2"

Eye color: Light sky blue

Hair color: Silver

Body Type: A little under the average adult male, but he's around the average in elf height. He's skinny too. Like a stick.

Clothes: He mostly wears armor similar to that of Zevran Arainai from Bioware's Dragon Age: Origins, cept without the battle skirt. He has armor pants with knee pads on with light-weight boots on, too keep him quick on his feet. He has a blue scarf that he always wears, and black gloves that go 3/4 of the way up his arm and cuts off a little before his knuckles.

Personality: He's quiet, when he can be, but he always puts on a mask to hide who he really is. He can be happy, sad, angry, anything, on command, so nobody knows what his real personality is and how he's supposed to act.

Likes: The forest, nature, doves, killing, money, his kunai, the dark.

Dislikes: Milk, cows, lightening and thunder, those who demolish the forest, people hunting the elves, and babies.

Bio: Aearcon lived with his mother, father, and two younger sisters until he was about five. When he was five (in human appearance), his father forced him to learn the ways of an assassin, saying that it would be better if he learned how to fight to protect their village known as Galaos. Their village has been constantly attacked by humans in search of more elf blood. You see, elf blood can heal all wounds- internal, external- and it can also make you younger and live longer, so humans are constantly out to get the blood of the elves during the human's time of war. So, Aearcon started to learn how to be an assassin to kill the humans that were invading at night, so there could be a clean kill and not so much violence, but, one day, the assassin instructor told them to go and destroy a human village to see if they had the guts to kill. Aearcon was completely against, this but he had to do it, so he followed his team to a weak and small village of humans and when they were asleep, they attacked, burning the village. Aearcon was the one that was told to take out the village doctors. He refused to, but he was peer pressured into doing so. When he finished killing the parents who had begged for their lives, a young boy with green hair came in. The boy was only about ten, but the young boy tackled Aearcon, crying and yelling at him to give him back his parents, but Aearcon slashed his kunai around, trying to get the boy off of him, leaving an 'X' shaped scar on his left cheek before the boy pulled away, holding his cheek, giving Aearcon the chance to run away. From then on, he was more afraid of humans than ever. He soon became the instructor and teacher of the assassins when the old mentor passed on. When he reached the human age of twenty, he was assaigned the most dangerous task by the elders of Galaos: To go and infiltrate the humans. He was told about his job and that was to see what information he can figure out about the battle plans of the humans and how they can prevent more of their elves from dying.

The Bard

Name: Zakai Edan

Age: Twenty

Height: 5' 6"

Eye color: Dark Purple

Hair color: Dark Green

Body Type: A little taller than your average male, but he has a slightly muscular build, but still a little skinnier than your average man. He's tall, and has long legs.

Clothes: Wearing mostly a brown peasant-like shirt with a light brown edge, he also wears some dark green pants that have a few brown patches in them. Honestly, he looks like a homeless Bard, singing to gain a living.

Personality: He's very outgoing. He takes everything as a joke. People are dying, he'll smile and sing of happy times. People declare his love for him? He'll laugh it off and say "You can't love a traveling one like me." He never stays in the same place twice, though, always looking for different things to experience.

Likes: Traveling, singing, his lute that he always carries around, writing songs, confusing people, and helping those in need.

Dislikes: The human government, those that proclaim their love to him, staying in the same village for more than a few weeks, not having inspiration, the elf that killed his parents and being with somebody.

Bio: His parents lived in a small village as the village doctors. Everybody came to them for help and they were well liked in the village. When he around the age of ten, he had gone out to collect some herbs in the forest and when he came back, hear saw blood everywhere, and he then heard his parents screaming over every other scream so he ran towards the house, only to see a silver haired elf standing over them. Enraged, he attacked the elf, but fell back as he was cut by a kunai and the elf got away. After that, he has been on the search for the white haired elf. When he found out that his entire village was attacked and very few survived, he picked up whatever he could salvage around the village for money, food, and he walked away, searching for somewhere else. He did his best to avoid battles and did his best to keep people in villages happy with his healing and music, but always leaves in the middle of the night. One day, a few days before his twenty-ith birthday, he walked into a village and was stuck there because they were planning an attack on the village of Galaos, so they were drafting every possible man that walks into their village, not carrying about weather or not they want to join. Zakai was forced to be in the war, quickly trying to get away, but he never could, and so, he was forced to join the village's militia.

The Meeting

Well, there was that faithful night nearly ten years ago. But now, this is when things go strange.

Aearcon had to fit in with humans... how? Well, he always wears a hood now, to hide his ears and has a tattoo that every elf gets when they come of age. While Aearcon is snooping about the base, dressed in a cloak that hides his entire self, he runs into a man who is trying to escape. That man is Zakai. Zakai knocks over Aearcon and they both fall down. Zakai apologizes, and gets up to run again, but he caught by the guards around the base. Aearcon growls at the Zakai for falling on him and almost ruining his chance of keeping his disguise but he has a plan now. Smirking, Aearcon runs up to Zakai and grabs him, quickly turning around jumping into the woods, settling in a tree on a thick and sturdy branch.

"What the hell are you doing?" asks Zakai.

"I'm here to strike a deal with you, you silly man." Aearcon smirks and then holds a finger to his lips, his bright blue eyes shining in the slight moonlight that fell from the trees. "Now, you want to get out, yes? There's no way you can do it alone. I strike a deal. If you stay in that base, I'll give you the path you need and assistance to get out of that base."

Zakai was a little hesitant to agree, but if it meant getting a way out, then he would do it. He just wanted to be free. And for Aearcon, this meant an easier way to gain information. They agreed that they would meet at this very same time by the gate near the forest. Aearcon would snatch him away into the forest and then Aearcon would bring him back to the base when nobody was looking and he'd be okay. He was always returned before everybody woke up.

That's how things were for what seemed like forever. The two would meet and talk about what the humans' plans were and the escape route, always making corrections in it. When they had time left before sunrise's first shine, they would talk about each other. One time, Zakai mentioned that his lute was taken away and smashed as he was dragged by the guards and how much he loved to play. The next night, Aearcon had brought back a lute from his village and Zakai was so thankful that he played a song for him, completely forgetting that they had things to talk about. Whenever Zakai would ask about Aearcon's past, the elf would just shake it off as amnesia. After two weeks of all this happening, Zakai was suspicious about who Aearcon really was since the man never took off his hood, but the only thing that Aearcon told him was his name. Zakai said that it was such a pretty name too. Once, Zakai reached for it and Aearcon backed away, pulling out a kunai and slicing at his hand as an impulse. Luckily, Zakai pulled away and didn't get cut. A terrified look was in Aearcon's eyes and he turned away.

"I... I'm sorry... It was an impulse. Please... don't do that..." By now, Zakai had told Aearcon his entire life story. About parents, about the elf he was hunting. Aearcon knew that it was him and he didn't want to ruin the small friendship that the two had with these late night rendezvous. When Aearcon dropped off Zakai at the base, he quickly stole a kiss from the taller man and with a soft 'goodbye' he tried to leave, but Zakai grabbed his wrist and pulled him in for a deeper kiss, his hood falling in the process. When he was let go, Aearcon quickly pulled away, pulling his hood up and disappearing into the night and back to his village, telling them of the plans the humans had made.

After that night, Aearcon stopped coming to see Zakai. Zakai would always wait by the gate every night and always get pulled back into the base. He felt betrayed. He knew that he should have never let his heart open to Aearcon and letting him kiss him. He could have sworn he saw Aearcon for a second. He saw everything. Those eyes. That Silver hair. That tattoo on his cheek... Why did it bug him so much? It bugged him for three whole days. Two days later, the humans began their attack and marched with weapons towards Galaos. The forest was quiet. Too quiet and it had all the men on guard and tense. They walked in, guns at the ready, while the assassins stood in the trees. They were clearly outnumbered, the elves, and they knew that. The humans had brought a huge cart with them too... What for? Oh no... With hope, they would kill the elves and just leave their bodies... and not maim them and take them as hostages. As the elves dove down from the trees and began their attack with Aearcon at the front, both of the things they feared happened. Elves were killed and then some men were assigned to take the dead bodies and load them into the cart. Aearcon was doing his best to kill off as many humans as he can. He wanted to protect his people. He needed to. His village was almost empty and they needed to keep fighting. But there was so much bloodshed of his kind and that drove him to fight more and more. He killed whoever came into his path, not able to feel any of the wounds that had got to him, until he found that familiar head of green hair.

"Zakai!" Zakai turned to face the one that called him and he froze. After a second, he dropped his gun and pulled out his sword, stealthily, and knocked down Aearcon, grabbing a hold of his scarf and punching him in the face, hate clearly evident in Zakai's eyes. Aearcon tried to push the other off of him without harming him and then rolled around until Aearcon held his kunai up, his hand on Zakai's neck. "Stop this! I don't want to hurt you!"

"I don't need pity from an elf, you back-stabber!" He pushed Aearcon off of him and held him down, gripping his neck and holding his sword at his neck. "I trusted you! I let you in my world, and then you betray me by trying to kill me!"

"I'm not trying to kill you! I'm trying to protect my vill--"

"Nobody cares! You killed my family... The only people I ever cared about, and then wormed your way into my heart..." His grip tightened and his hand that held the sword shook. "I can't believe it... I gave you my heart... Only to give it to an elf... An elf that I've been hunting."

"Zakai...."

"I want to stab you. I want to see the blood rushing out of your wounds with this sword..." He let his grip loosen till he pulled his hand away, putting both hands on the sword, Aearcon gasping for air but doing his best not to move. "I want to watch you suffer..." Images of his parents flooded into his mind.

"Then kill me...." This surprised Zakai and he looked at Aearcon with wide purple eyes, disbelieving what the elf just said. "If I hurt you, then kill me... I never wanted to kill your parents. I was pressured into doing so..." No way... Aearcon wanted to die... "Kill me..." Zakai continued to stare at him. "KILL ME, DAMMIT!" Zakai raised his sword, shaking his head and let out a yell, and stabbed.

.... Aearcon opened his eyes to find that.... He wasn't dead. Instead, the sword was stabbed into the ground next to him and Zakai was holding the elf close to him. What...? The elf was so confused. "I can't..." Zakai whispered. "I just can't...." Aearcon smiled a little bit, glad.

"Look out!" The elf pushed Zakai off of him, to get stabbed in the shoulder by another human. It was the commanding officer.

"Aearcon!!" yelled Zakai, and at that name and a cry from the elf, all battling seemed to stop. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

"I'm doing what we're meant to do! We're not supposed to befriend these knife-ears! We're supposed to kill them and take their life and take it as our own." The officer turned the sword from side to side, making the elf scream out in pain again and Zakai ran towards him, separating the officer from the sword and picked up his own sword.

"No! They did nothing wrong to deserve this! If it wasn't for your village starting that damned war, you wouldn't need the elves! Figure out a way to cure yourselves yourself! We don't need more innocent blood on our hands!" Zakai glared at the commanding officer. "Somebody take Aearcon and fix him." The elves looked at the humans and at each other, the humans doing the same. "Please! He might die!" The elves and the humans both hurried over to Aearcon. The humans pulled out the sword and the elves quickly him took him away.

"Traitors!"

--------------------------

A few hours later in Galaos, Aearcon was being tended too and a human walked into the village with the cart of dead elf bodies, himself all bloodied up. The few men that were left had limped back to the village and Zakai returned to the dead bodies to the Galaos elders. He asked if he could see Aearcon and so he was sent to him. He watched the elf being tended too and then held him closely, rocking him back at forth, but he held him gently.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry... You can't leave me now..." He whispered those words, biting his lower lip to keep him from letting a tear out.

"I love you..."

He didn't get a reply as the elf's eyes stayed closed.
